Intensive care

Intensive care requires versatile lighting solutions to facilitate rapid interventions and constant monitoring.
The intensive care of a hospital is a very delicate department. Here, we are responsible for keeping alive patients who are in serious health situations, who arrive at the hospital in extremely urgent conditions with one or more compromised vital functions or who require a period of monitoring following a complicated operation or affected by important pathologies that weigh on relatively simple or routine post-interventions. In intensive care, patients must be constantly assisted and monitored. The period of hospitalization varies from a few hours to several days and weeks. For this reason, it is essential that the environment is correctly lit and comfortable.
In the intensive care unit, doctors must always be able to visit and operate in optimal conditions. For this reason, the light must be clear, intense and “clean”.

Lighting Recommendations

Low-intensity, adjustable lights with flexible arms minimize patient disruption. Color temperature control enhances comfort for patients and medical staff.

However, it must not bother the patient, who instead must be hospitalized in a welcoming and quiet place.
For this medical sector RIMSA has designed 3 medical lamps, which have the advantage of being able to be adjusted in order to find the right balance between comfort for the patient and usefulness for doctors. Doctors and surgeons can adapt both the color temperature and the intensity of the light beam to their needs. RIMSA medical lamps have the advantage of having ergonomic handles and movable arms: characteristics that make them easy to maneuver and quick to set up. The special LED technology of the surgical lamps guarantees greater resistance in terms of duration allowing the doctor to concentrate exclusively on the patient.
For intensive care we suggest these medical lamps:

  • Pentaled 28
  • Saturno Led
